In today's climate, sex crimes carry a special stigma. A person accused of a sex crime needs an experienced lawyer.  Once convicted, a sex offender is marked for life. Conviction of a sex crime is more serious than other kinds of criminal convictions. Long prison terms are normal, even for simple possession of child pornography.
